I give people over 70 a pass, after a certain age I can easily pop you into the "crazy old coot category".

Its funny what older people will say (my parents would have their moments) and they did grow up in a different era but this seems a bit "excessive" :)

Absolutely. There are generational "pass cards" that we have to give at times, but i bet this guy was always an asshole.

I wonder if he still has his sheet in the closet next to the shotgun.

I always think of this when I hear these stories: http://thetravisty.com/Chappelles_Show/wmv/Black_White_Supremacist.htm

When I go to visit my mother in her "retirement home" we run into a variety old crazy folks:

the retired beautician who fawns over my children and scares the hell out them because she lets her dentures hang when she talks. It looks like her mouth is moving but her teeth never move :o

the crazy old guy who cackles and says nothing but racial slurs and cackles again, when the nurse comes over to reprimand him he fondles her.

the I'm in a hurry guy zips up and down the hall in his wheel chair.....

I think I would rather the be the dirty old "always inappropriate guy". I mean you spend your life coloring within the lines, once I'm older I want the freedom to fondles the wimmens, curse like sailor, scream racial slurs. ;D

In other words, you want to grow old like Ted Nugent. ;D

Now THATS rock n roll.

I've had a bad back since I was 30, so my creaks and groans came early...

As for the OP - some things never change. There are white and black folk who are unabashed racists. It is truely sad....
