Trade your bass stuff for my Reverend Volcano?

I am looking for a bass and a bass amp. I have a Reverend Volcano. The Volcano fucking rips, but I really wanna play bass...and its the only part of my current rig I can actually afford to let go of.

I got pics, but youve already seen 'em (i'll post em later anyhoo).

I would also consider letting my Reverend Hellhound head go for the right offer...

it would be hugely expensive to ship I'm sure. It was also the house amp here for close to 6 years so it's a little tired sounding even though it works fine.

I have no use for the Volcano..I like it, but it sits in its case. I really only like playing my LP.

If you don't NEED the bass rig right now, I'd hold off until you can snag the right deal. My bass often sits in its case when I don't have a need for it for a band situation or recordings. If you really wanna practice up, snag a used cheapie (if you don't already have one) and noodle around.

I mean, if you don't want the Volcano, that's one thing. But you might be better off selling it outright and then figuring out exactly what sorta bass setup you want rather than just biting at a trade.

Also, if yer down with the shortscale thing, keep yr eyes peeled for a used Fender Musicmaster. I got my '78 for $300 on a whim years ago. I've never even considered shopping for another bass.

I'm trying to master some kind of zen anti-G.A.S. thing and really focus on the usefulness of stuff vs. the OMG!!! SO COOL!!! WANT!!! thing.

And I just know from experience that basses can be total case warmers. (Not that there's a problem with that. I have guitars that I go months and months without playing until the mood strikes me.)

I hear ya. I already have a cheap bass I have been jamming on. I like playing bass a lot...so its definately not a case of just wanting something new...although I have been guilty of that plenty of times. :o
