I've just always thought this was a perfect "one chorus of blues" type solo. The structure is perfect and he alternates between the major and minor Pentatonic scales like I talk about in my "Using Major and Minor Pentatonic Scales to play Blues Chord Changes " lesson:

Here is a horrible scrawled tab of the "Live at the Regal" version:

Its something I might rewrite more legibly and repost later in the week but I had it laying around ;D
Here is the "Live at the Regal" - the transcription is the intro solo:

It doesn't look very "pro", though. It also advertises my previous employer.... :weebz:

I love that Live at the Regal album. It gets regular play over here.

That's one of my all-time favorite solos. You hear women scream when they recognize the riffs. BB's phrasing mixes so well with his vocal style, you can understand why he has been so popular fo so long. You have to listen closely to catch every note, some of them are lost in the noise, especially the little punchy horn-inspired chord stabs. Just about every BB signature is in there, and as you work it out, you see what shapes BB sees when he looks at the guitar.
Try using those same riffs in a heavy minor blues, when everyone else has played the entire Albert King/Stevie Ray Vaughan encyclopedia. You'll get everyone's attention.
