Reaper keeps crashing my system. I open it, it loads a few things, and then BAM, BSoD. I have NO idea what the problem is.

Are you new to it, or have you been using it for a while and it's only just started doing this?

If the latter... have you changed anything else at all lately? Changed any OS settings, installed new hardware, installed new software, etc. etc.?

I had a Cubase problem a lil while back where it wouldn't load up. I'd installed a bunch of freeware plugins some time before, but then didn't even get a chance to open up Cubase for ages. So when it wouldn't load, I couldn't even remember what I'd installed to be able to uninstall them. Ended up having to do one of those restore things to take it back to when it was working fine.

your problem is you are using windows. :p

Just kidding. If this just started happening, I would uninstall any new hardware or software you may have installed, including Windows updates. If you know when the last time it was working, you could do a system restore to that point.

The Screen flashes for less than a second. Then it reboots the computer.

There is a Reaper forum that can be helpful sometimes too. I have no idea what it could be. I've not had any issues like that.

If you can get into windows before the stop error,
right click my comp
properties
advanced tab
startup and recovery button
uncheck automatically restart

This will keep it from rebooting so fast. If you can't get into windows, try safe mode by pressing F8 before windows launches and selecting it off the menu.

Windows keeps Event Logs that are helpful for this sort of thing. Check the Application log.

Reaper crashed twice on me yesterday, each time because I opened up another editing program...
