I just gave 2 weeks notice :)

Got the new job offer last night - not a lot more money, but 15 miles closer to home, small, growing company with tons of potential for career growth. I've been unhappy in my current position for quite a while, I am THRILLED.

Congrats!

I came to work here as a VERY small start up, just basically the owner had a great idea and a few investors. Its been very interesting watching it grow. I was given some ownership in the company as well, so im hoping it grabs and takes off.

Will see how the markets survive these next few months though. hahaha

Yeah, I'm going from 45 minutes in traffic, over the unpleasant bridge, down to 15 minutes, and staying in the state where I live.

Did I mention I'm happy? :) :) :) :)

Thats really great dude.

Are they going to let you actually work out the two weeks? Lots of places just say go ahead and go.

I'm the only person who has even the foggiest clue how to manage their phone system - they'd be utterly screwed by not having me work the 2 weeks and get someone up to speed.
