Our son was 9 lbs 9 oz. so she is tiny to us...we kept saying how small she was and the staff at the hospital kept correcting us that she was NORMAL. :)

Mommy is doing great when I left last night. I was told not to call her, she would call me this morning so she could maximize whatever rest she would be getting so I'll probably hear how the night went in an hour or so.

rest is going to be a biggie for her for the next few weeks, that's the only bad thing about a C-section longer recoup time.

Thanks!

Yes, they did but with a short sale you really don't know how things are really going to go. They made a big deal about a fast escrow and then didn't have the utilities turned on for the home inspector today so he couldn't do the whole inspection >:( Wasted morning for all of us today. I think this is seriously going to test my patience beyond its limits at a time where I am going to be getting no sleep...

lolz. looks like you are getting better with practice then.

How old is your son again? I think i read a post of yours that said he isnt too into guitars as of yet. I hope he does catch the bug eventually, or piano or something. Music is a wonderful gift, and with you as a dad, he can't hardly go wrong.

Thanks Chili!

Its an amazing feeling but its a little strange to know that this will be the last time. We love to have children but there are only so many kids we can realistically support both financially and emotionally....they come home tomorrow and we'll be adding another little person to our household. I'm a mess tonight. I should order some wings and have a beer to get my "man card" back :)

Um, this is probably kinda personal, but what is to say there will be no more? Choice? Something happen with you or the wife I missed?

You seem to imply choice, so I am assuming (and hoping) that nothing is wrong at all with you or the wife that would affect this.

Just let me say though that assuming it IS a choice, my wife said the same after our 2nd. I was totally cool with that. I am content with my 2. HOWEVER, even though she was SURE she was finished right after Rachel....I dont know if you remember my thread on GJ a month or so back, but now she wants another kid! :o Not like "oh, it'd be nice" but "I WANT another CHILD!"

So, sometimes even though it may not be a LOGICAL thing to do....I wouldnt rule it out or do anything that would permanently prevent it. Just my 2 cents. :)

Mark Wein
10-12-2008, 04:18 AM
I did see your thread.

We made a choice based on the fact that we didn't think it would be fair to all of our kids if we had more than we could really raise. With our lifestyle and the business I think we can handle 2 kids and no more. I want to be able to put money away for college (something that wasn't done for me) for them and I don't want to be unable to provide for my kids because of budgetary reasons....its expensive to live here and sometimes business is good and sometimes its not so good....

My wife really seems "done" as well....you never know what life brings (I probably was an "oops" baby even though I was never told that) but thats the plan. :)

I get to start packing this week the stuff we don't use very much...long month this will be...

Big brother is trying to adjust but you can tell he's having a little trouble with it. We're really trying to keep him involved and we are spending one on one time with him as much as we can.

It's incredible how a year seems to disappear when it comes to a babies first year. With us and Toby it seems as though I blinked and now he's a year old and walking. Which is very cool and somewhat sad.

Happy Birthday Sophia.

Thanks everyone!

We're having a small party today with family only....last night the birthday girl had a rough one with Mrs W and I taking turns with her. I got the 1am-4:30 shift sleeping with her in the rocking chair. :)

On a side note, the work we're having done on the house is pretty far behind schedule and the fertilizer that was supposed to have been at least spread since they are a week behind on the lawn is still in a 4' high mound in the front center of our driveway. For our guests to enjoy and they walk into the house
