Here is a nice picking pattern for your right hand fingers (if you are right-handed, that is.) Works on any chord that has at least 4 notes (4 fingers - 4 notes).

Let me know what you think.

Nice lesson.

When I saw your title screen I saw the PMIA and went :facepalm: He missed it. It is suppose to be PIMA - Then your video clearly showed that your title was the picking order for the right hand.

The PIMA are abbreviations for Spanish Words:

Pulgar = Thumb
Indice = Fore Finger
Medio = Middle Finger
Anular = Ring Finger

Typically your thumb plays the low E, A and D strings and is referenced to the (p) in PIMA - Your index finger is the (i) and plays the G string, Middle finger is (m) and plays the B string and Ring finger is (a) and plays the E string.

Again, typically (but not always) and a great way to learn when finger picking.

Nice video and you slowed down enough to teach it.

Nice lesson.

I've been wanting to practice more fingerpicking and this is a perfect way to get started down that path.

Thanks! I used to suck at this kind of stuff, but practice does pay off.

That was nice.

I actually took a years worth of lesson in fingerstyle blues to get my fingerpicking going and it was worth it's weight in gold....
