I'm thinking about unloading some.

Not that anyone really cares - I just wanted to be the first to post in the new acoustic thread.

There's no such thing as too many. :o

I have 4 now.

There's my #1 recording acoustic (beat to hell Fender Catalina)
There's my #1 gigging acoustic (Fender GDO500CE or something like that)
There's my Taylor Big Baby (which mostly just collects dust)
And the Epi of some sort that belongs to Mrs. P. It needs a new nut and saddle to bring it up to speed. I think it's a great sounding guitar, but it's unplayable in its current state.

I really need to unload the Big Baby. The only problem is, it's got a dent in the top, and I bored out the peg hole to put an internal mic in it, so if I sell it, I'll probably have to sell the mic with it, which isn't a problem because I don't use it either.

I might be int' in the Baby if you move it Prages.

Or, I'll trade you my Tele.

I'm down to one from three at my peak. I have friends with seven or eight and know people with more than 15 custom acoustics alone.

I really, REALLY want a nice acoustic. My Tak is a great stage guitar, but after a dozen years of owning very nice acoustics (Lowden, Martin, two custom builds) I miss having a great acoustic. The guy who built my last custom acoustic (Rob Bustos of Paragon Guitars) told me he would cut me a deal after I sold that one because I did a lot of PR work for him - but his prices have really sky rocketed. When I ordered mine from him I got non-standard wood ($200.00 up charge) and bought the pickup and had it installed and my total for the guitar (incl. shipping) was about $2300.00. The same guitar today would run about $5400.00 so even with a price break I cannot afford another Paragon.

I'm thinking about unloaded some of mine.

I have a 1982 Juan Orezco Classical - I'll never sell it. It was one of my first somewhat decent guitar and all the indentations on the frets where all worn by me. I actually used it last weekend for the music video shoot.

My gigging guitar is me Takamini EANC- It has such low action on it is a dream to play and I can play it all night long. Not a good guitar for slide though....

I have an Ibanez exotic wood series that I bought about a year ago. It has higher action so when I play unplugged it is louder then the Tak. It looks beautiful and sounds good, until you plug it in - then it sounds like every other piezo pickup - no depth.

Then I have an Ibanez Montage hybrid. I started gigging with this because I got tired of soloing with just clean acoustic. With the Montage I could easily add some gain for the leads - it still plays like an acoustic and I've tried tweaking it for years and can't get a decent stage sound out of it. It's a little tough to bend the notes well too.

I think I'll be putting the Montage and the Ibanez exotic wood series guitar up for sale soon to cut down and help pay for my new amp for the electric I'll be bringing to the gigs.

I just did a

I had my defaults set to show only posts withing the last day.

I thought that I was the first to post in the new acoustic thread because I didn't see the ones migrated over from the other forum.

I'm such a dooshnozzle.

I kind of worry about shipping it cross country.

What kind of Tele do you have?
