Copied the pic's below from a family member visiting over the holidays. It's my late father-in-law's 65 GTO, lovingly restored by a family acquaintance to whom the car was sold after my FIL passed. I hear the family owned 3-4 GTO's over the years. He was a general contractor in Orange and used this car as his "work" car for a number of years, so it was pretty beat up when he stopped driving it. (Among other stuff, he built a bunch of churches in Anaheim, Fullerton and Orange.) It was in storage for about 10 years before getting sold to the restorer. I guess the new owner ran into some financial hardships along the way, so restoration took 7 years or so to complete. Looks pretty nice at this point, and I guess has won some small/local car shows in Arizona where it now resides.

Great looking car...love the look of the tripower carbs. Looks like someone went a little buffer crazy on that trunk lid (and prob the rest of the car).

Sweet.

Mrs. P and I found an old Ford Galaxie, I believe, while we were running through the woods yesterday. It's over the side of a hill, and 1/2 burried in the dirt.

Would be quite the fixer-upper. :o

I'll try to remember to take a camera and get pics of it the next time we're up there. :D
