So, lets hear them. Not sure what I am in the mood for, but preferably something not-too-horrible for me.

Hey man, when my wife had Rachel I didnt even get to EAT the hospital food, I had to go look for my own stuff. I dont know if thats how it normally works or what, but yeah, that kinda sucked. What made it even better was that they didnt have one of those full reclining chairs for me to sleep in, and of course there was no room for me to sleep in the bed with her, so I took the normal, non-reclining chair, put my ass on that, vurled up my legs, and put the other half of my body on my wife's bed. That was the most uncomfortable sleep I have ever had in my life. :D

We were at a different hospital for our son and they had a cafeteria....one meal there and I was going down the street to Taco Bell to eat...and I HATE Taco Bell....
This hospital is in a different city and I'll probably be stuck with the cafeteria :(

Man, I love taco bell when I am in the right mood. :( Believe it or not, there is a hospital cafeteria right near my office here which has really good food really cheap most of the time. That, of course, isnt where we were, and I believe the cafeteria was actually closed a good part of the time we were there, since she went into labor friday night, we were there over the weekend.

Heh.....from my experience, his wife would APPRECIATE it as long as it was AFTER the delivery. Dude, with both kids, right after delivery, my wife wanted a double whopper with cheese. :D I With Rachel, I couldnt get to a burger king afterwards so she had to settle for McD's.

Do you guys have Del Taco there? If you did you probably wouldn't eat at Taco Bell anymore ;D They even have pretty good fast food burgers....
Since we were able to schedule things we did it for 2pm on a Thursday to make life easier....we were there on a Friday night with our son, too :)

Actually she will be starving since she can't eat today....I think she can only have fluids afterward, though so yes she would kill me. ;D

Is this different with a c-section then? Cause once my wife delivered, she could do whatever she darn well pleased. Any drugs she asked for (she delivered naturally) any food she wanted, etc.

Me too. I would have lost the ability to father soon after becoming a father. I was lucky, though. When Mallory was born, we were in the hospital for a total of 20 hours. In at 11 PM on Dec 29th, out at 7 PM on Dec 31st. I can only pray that the second one goes as quickly and uneventfully, relatively speaking.

Second labors usually go even faster than the first. My wife was only in labor for 3.5 hrs with Rachel. She dropped so fast she had a bruise on her head! :o

Here's lunch. Hummus, with tahini sauce and hot pepper relish, served with warm pita, and some gyro meat.
Not terrible for me, and it is delicious.

We're having a C section today so the event itself should be relatively quick....
We spent 3 days in the hospital with out son and will probably be 4-5 because of the c section, I would guess...

Since a C section is actually surgery I guess they have to make sure everything is OK before they discharge the mother. Its our first one but I was told about 4 days....
Thank you, btw and I will pass that along!
