Yes, it's here. An amp that is widely unpopular, but I liked when I played in GC. So, when the opportunity presented itself to trade my Explorer, for which I'd paid a whopping $480 out the door (once I added an SKB case), for this head, plus a spare set of tubes and an SM57, I decided to take it. I traded my $350 Hot Rod Deluxe for the cab. I've always wanted a Marshall Half Stack...if I don't like it, I can move it for more than I paid for it fairly easily.
It didn't arrive 'til it was nearly my kids' bedtime, so I only got to play for a few minutes...but I am liking it so far.
Without further ado, I present my JCM 900 4500 50 Watt Dual Reverb biggrin

Sweet!
That seems like a pretty good deal. I like the slant top cabs a little better if you go half stack, though. Is it louder than loud?

It'll go louder than loud, but actually has a far more usable volume range than the HRD did - I can get a reasonable tone at pleasant home volumes...but it does sound better louder biggrin heavy-metal-044

Oh, and to answer the first part - so far, I like it a LOT, but I needs more quality time with it.

Does it get the "Marshall" sound? I'm not a Marshall guy, the sound is more hard rock than metal, well the chugga chugga metal that I play, anyway, but I do love the sound of a cranked Marshall doing hard-rock-y stuff.

It's definitely in the "Marshall Sound" family. Does it sound like a Plexi? No. But it does sound good, from my initial noodling...and it is definitely hard rock tone.
