I can't help you here. I've never really seen the need for an acoustic amp. When I'm recording, I mic the acoustic, and when I'm playing one live, I just DI it to the board and pump a little through the monitors.

I've owned a couple of good acoustic amps and I have ended up where Prages is - I don't use them. I run my acoustic through an Ultrasound DI box on for live settings and do a combo of micing and direct input for recordings. They would be nice in a situation where a live sound system does not have many inputs, but I generally don't run into that much at all. It is just one less piece of equipment for me to schlep to shows....
