Car of the Week: 1955 Pontiac Star Chief Convertible

I found one in a hardtop in the Bay Area one time. It was at a pick-your-part wrecking yard on four jack stands. It was missing the two rear wheels and the right front fender, but otherwise complete. I asked up front and they said they'd sell the whole car for 300 bucks. I went home and called around to find a storage garage to keep it in, went back three hours later to get it, and it was being loaded on a trailer when I pulled up. Another lesson learned.
