You'd be surpised, though. Occasionally we see cars out here where someone just needs to get out from under a payment really fast or needs the cash for something else, especially with the classic cars.

yeah, you see the ones were people are in an economic bind but you no longer see people dumping good cars cheap w/o knowing what they are worth.

You heard the woman - go buy the sucker!

The problem(s) being:
1: No money
2: We already have the car, truck, and van. The truck will hopefully be road worthy again after this weekend. The van is quickly falling apart. It'd be nice to sell the van and get the Jeep. That would give both of us a 4wd to drive to work in the winters, but at the same time, the van is our camping/band/hobby/dog hauling vehicle. I don't think we'd be able to fit much stuff in the Jeep. Still would have the truck, but it's harder to get the dogs in and out of the truck. Plus, the van might fetch $1000. $1500 tops.

You're not very good at rationalizing these things...let me help: You have all those other vehicles, at least a 1 or 2 that you can sell when you get the Jeep. Consider the absence of maintenance/repairs on the vehicle(s) sold re-cooping the difference in a few months at most. If you need to span the gap, you've got to have a few odd or ends that you can toss on ebay/craigslist and unload for a couple bucks.

Plus, something tells me the guy meant to type $12,950. I just KBB'd the same vehicle with 100,000 miles and the Private Party Sale value is $12,540.

It was a 2004 Wrangler Renegade. V6, automatic, black, hardtop. Looked pristine. Guy had it listed at $2,950. Since the ad is gone, I'm guessing it was a typo.

I've always wanted a Jeep. That one was a looker for sure, but I knew that it had to be a typo.
Oh, it was a Rubicon, not a Renegade.
