Does anyone here have a GOOD meatloaf recipe?

My wife has one where you make a pretty standard meatloaf but then put sweet and spicy italian sausage inside (not cut up - whole links) and wrap the meatlaof mixture around the sausage...good stuff....I'll have to see where she got that from...

If i made a good sized meatloaf, i could prolly make 6 good lunches out of that. hahaha.

Here's mine:

1lb lean ground beef
1lb ground pork
1 egg
italian seasoned bread crumbs
finely diced onions and mushrooms

all amount are to taste: that's all

You know its strange, to actually find ground pork around here you have to go to an asian market, they use it a lot.


Regular markets just dont carry it. Unless i buy sausage of some kind.

I usually by meat by the side, and stock my freezer. There are a lot of local farms in the area that sell live stock. ;)

No side of beef for me.

I grew up in Alaska, my dad would shoot a moose and we'd take it in and have it cut into steaks and summer sausages and such. It was great.

Seeing that Guitars and Furniture are often manufactured with similar flavored materials, this could be an issue.

Also, I don't know the whole recipe but the one my wife makes , she puts a package of that Onion Soup mix powder in the m3@tz.
