Finally made a good score on Craigs List over the weekend. I really do not "need" it but I bought a Peavey Classic 50 4X10 Tweed. The price was just too good not to get it. $125.00 !!! The amp is in great condition with the exception of missing the handle. No stains, tears, scuffs, etc. Even has the original foot switch. Everything works without issues of any kind. Really great cleans on the normal setting. Not in love with the "lead" setting. But my modded TS-9 helps get some very bluesy tones from the normal setting. Did I mention this thing is heavy, especially without the handle. I have emailed Peavey to find out if they can supply a handle.

$125!!!!
Score and a half.
If you have the same kind of experience with Peavey as I've had, they'll hook you right up with a handle. They sent me a whole new set of knobs free of charge for my Classic 50 even after I told them I bought it used.
I don't use my C50 too much anymore (the Classic 30 is a lot lighter and sounds just as good to me), but I know I open the EQ knobs all the way up on the C30. The 50 has the presense control though, and you don't want it on 12 or it'll puncture your eardrums.
But man, $125 for a working amp is just amazing.

Yes. I'd say it's pretty close to the level of deal I got on those two purchases. :weebz:

I paid $350 for my Classic 50 212, and $200 for my Classic 30, and thought both of them were very good deals.
$125 is a great deal.

I paid just short of $300 for my 212 Classic 50 and had to drive an hour each way to pick it up.
$125 is a freaking Steal for ANY 50 watt all tube combo.
