Awesome!

I know where there is a proverbial "barn find" Willys 40s coupe, originally a California car towed to rode island. If only I had the cash......

It's pretty cool. Will need a new engine...whats in there is probably from an early-mid 60's Rambler American anyway and it might have a cracked head. The body is in pretty good shape and the rest is easy for him to fix...

Is he the type to dig in and get after it? Or will this be a 10 year type project?

Depends on what needs to be done I guess. He's cranked through a few of them pretty quick. The 1950 Chevy truck was about a year or so but he did a complete frame up restoration that included a ton of body work and a second cab. His three tractors were bout a month a piece.

He knows what he's doing. My truck is on the 5 year plan because I have to drive it every day and I really don't have the funds to do what I want.

So cool. Are those other 2 levers for the 4WD system or something? (if there is one :idk: )

I think, (think, mind you) on those, one was gearshift, one was high/low range, and one engaged the front axle.

I think Phil is right. It is a 4 wheel drive truck but its been kind of modified to the point where I think he might be making substantial changes to the running gear just to make it work....

The engine and transmission are from a 1981 El Camino as is some of the brakes and suspension stuff. It was originally a 4wd truck and he took the forward axle our and made it 2 wd, replacing it with the axle from a 1951 Ford truck IIRC.
