I made Chilihilililililihilidogs wing sauce for me, BBQ sauce for my son and the suggestion off the Franks bottle of 2 parts clarified butter to 3 parts Franks for my wife

I'll probably keep it to once a month or more...the last thing I need to do is eat these things every week...did you see the picture of me? messedup0

Hahahaha. Well, according to atkins, its really not that bad. If you dont eat a lot of carbs with it, its probably one of the better ones for you actually.

The Cholesterol is a little brutal, though

Actually, hahaha. Some studies show cholesterol drops. Like dissolves like.

Is it cholesterol cannibalism? Theres so much of it that they start to each each other? biggrin

Well, i guess the theory is, fatty oily stuff can only be dissolved by oil based stuff. I guess thats the good fat versus bad fat.

I dunno. But it seems to work.

Those are some proper wings there Mark.

Still, you should look into a deep fryer so you don't have to deal with emptying the pot. If you make them weekly like we do, you can do 5-6 wing dinners on a load of oil in the DF and just slap the lid on in between.

What do you do with the oil between batches?

Also, for all you wing nuts-
How/where do you dispose of your old oil? I have a couple of 5gal carbouys that I fill up and give to a buddy who makes it into bio-deisel.

Thanks! That was my first attempt. I had to toss the oil since I really have no place to put it right now. The problem with owning a fryer is that I would use it... :weebz:

I really need to lose some weight frown0

Tempura is lighter than normal breading, and is quite tasty on the veggies.

It's relatively healthy. er.

Tossing a gallon of oil after only one batch sure drives up the price. That DF will pay for itself in no time.

I just pour the oil from my wok through a cheesecloth into a large pickle jar and pop it in the fridge, i can use it multiple times. I dont toss the oil right away.

This thread is win. The Dave's Insanity being added to the sauce seals it. How'd ya like my recipe?

It works great! I've actually used it for chicken before but this was my first attempt at wings.... AOK
