The other day I was stopped at a light in town, and across from me was a Pontiac G8 (GT, I think).

I for one can't believe GM let this car die. Fantastic-looking sedan, imo.

Lets put it this way. In 2008-09 if I worked at some firm that bought/leased you a new vehicle, and they told me "We were going to get you a BMW or Lexus, but times are tight so we got you a Pontiac G8 instead"....I would not have been disappointed.....unless the build-quality on 'em was crap :idk:

My sister either has the 6 or the 8. I'm not sure which, but it's a pretty cool car.

I've never driven one...maybe never even seen one here in California.

I have driven the 6 as rental. It is a fun ride. Lots of room and it moooves.

My inlaws have a G6 and it's ok, pretty generic and I'm not overly fond of the interior...we're sporting a 2010 Impala rental this week and while it's similar in many ways, it was clearly designed by teams of people that were unable to communicate with each other and fed a diet of cold oatmeal while being tormented by having rats nibble on their toes for months on end. Their suffering shows in the end product.

A guy at work has one. He refers to it as a 4 door GTO. I've never driven it, but I have ridden in it. It has good pickup, but it was not as fast as I expected it would be. Still very quick and a pretty comfortable ride.

I don't know if I could bring myself to drive an Australian car.
