Start with the catch of the day... or part of it.

Add your own brew of buffalo.... Mine is Red Hot, ranch, creamy vidalia onion, garlic powder, and Grill Mates Montreal Steak.

250 - 300 degrees on the upper rack of the grill...

And add some veggies....

I'll have to agree with Phil. You've just made "Buffalo Perch"! The best fish ever!

Dude you ate fish out of lake Erie??????

They have more mercury in them than most thermometers :o

They look tasty though

ps. I live in between lake Erie and Ontario in WNY...I'm not saying that to be dick, but they do suggest that you don't make the fish out of the lakes a staple of your diet.

I don't eat too much out of there, maybe twice a year.... I thought if you don't eat the meat near the belly that you are ok, I might be wrong on that though.

They are the only fish that expand when its hot, and shrink when it's cold ;D

Mark, as I understand it you are "technically" allowed to have fish from Lake Erie a few times a year. Well, look, I myself am 'technically" allowed to have fish from any of the rivers a few times a year as well. Look, I dont eat any of the fish I catch from the rivers, but I also told my bro not long ago had I caught a monster trout out of the river I wouldnt CARE what they said.

If I caught a 10 pound rainbow from any of our rivers, I would eat it. Thats just how it is. If I were you, I would feast on those bastards like nobody's business. And apparently you did.

All I can tell you is that the catch looks AMAZING and I hope they tasted every bit as good as my imagination and past experience with fresh caught ANYTHING tells me they did.

NICE bout of fishing, sir. Enjoy them, and PA game recs be damned. If my understanding is correct, you are allowed to make a meal out of Lake Erie fish twice per year.

I know darn well that even if I only got to have it 2 times a year, fresh caught PA ANYTHING is awesome enough that it warrants mention on any forum.

All that being said, of course, I still say fresh-caught PA Rainbow is the single BEST meal ever mentioned on any forum. Of course, it is so late in the year that I unfortunately will not be able to prove it, but I personally know how awesome REAL fresh P rainbow trout is, and it is beyond any compare.

I hope that catch was as good. Fresh fish, fresh like what you had is really, truly, beyond words. I know this from personal experience, and consider me a little jealous.

Nice catch, Mark.
