I lika muh cars a lots!
I'm a MOPAR guy, but I can appreciate artistry no matter the base pallet.
However, there are a lot of things about cars that just don't get me going like MOPARs do. Not sure why but that's how it is.
Anyway, if you can guess from my username, I kinda like Dodge Chargers.
My very first car was 1973 base model Charger with a slant 6 engine. It was Root Beer Brown with a black canopy style vinyl top. Bucket seats and a centre console (not good for makin out). That rotted away on our wonderful salted roads up here and I miss it. I'm still looking for pictures of it.
About 10 years ago, I got a hankerin for a toy and decide to start shopping for a 69 Charger. Yeah, that Dukes of Hazzard car - but that's not why. I did watch the show as a kid, but I just liked the Charger for what it was not as a TV car. And despite everyone telling me to paint it orange, I'm not going to do that.
I did find one and it's an eight year long saga and the car is still not running nor is it even in paint yet!
Here's a recent pic:

My daily driver is a 2007 SE (that's the base model). It was a company car choice and I didn't really like the other choices. My boss at the time was a MOPAR guy and he pretty much would have ridiculed me if I didn't go MOPAR. (not really, but he would have had fun with it.) I'm glad I got the car though. I love it. In my heart I wish they had called it something different though. Chargers don't have 4 doors.

While waiting for NVRDUN (the 69 Charger) to be "DUN", I had to sate my desire to cruise in a MOPAR and this came up for a steal.

(I have better pics but they're HUGE)
It's a 1971 Chrysler New Yorker with a 440-4 barrel, Power everything and most of it still works. It was in pretty good shape, but needed work all along the bottom (salty roads again). I made a deal with a resto shop for the work. I built a website. They did the car. So this is what I tool around in in my spare time. FUN for the whole family.
Recently, I had another deal land in my lap and now it sits in a trailer on my driveway. I have no idea what I'm doing to do with it, yet... It's a 1968 Charger. Another project, but in better shape than the 69 was in the beginning. So who knows.. this might be a quicker project.

I had to borrow the trailer 'cause I can't afford my own or a truck to pull it.
An old pic of it the body shop.

It was essentially a barter again and I also ended up with a website in the deal. www.moparnuts.com is a forum that I now own and run. It uses the same software as MWGLforums.com and that's how I found out about this place.
I noodle around with guitars as well. So I joined. and I'm glad I did.
The vibe here is very reminiscent of my first days at moparnuts.
