Played a killer acoustic today!

1971 Guild D25. Solid mahogany back sides and top. I generally am not partial to mahogany topped guitars, but maybe the 39 years have done their magic. This guitar was responsive, loud, and sounded great! They were asking $799.99 w/case. Dang! What a time to be out of money.....

I love old Guilds from that era. I've even played a nice Washburn of all things from that period as well.

They actually had three old Guilds (1985 or older) there. On one of them the strings are so dead it was hard to tell what the guitar actually sounded like. It was totally lifeless and my guess is the strings had a lot to do with it. I wish music stores would just jack the price of a used guitar up $5.00 and put new strings on them....

I am wanting to get one of the low-end Guild 12-strings. Maybe some day I will.
