I have seen several amps over the last few years that are switchable between low wattage and full wattage.
e.g. Tiny Terror 7/15 watt switchable between pentode and triode mode...
Anyway, has anyone ever heard of modifying a Fender amp, such as a DRRI for such a feature ?
I don't wanna buy a hotplate or something to attenuate, but I wanna be able to play thru my amp as I am playing daily and nightly now, but with kids, Wifey, etc. I can't exactly crank 'er up past 2 or the walls start shaking even with my DRRI.
I am wondering, since I will probably keep this Fender deluxe forever, if it would be worthwhile for me to have it modded if possible, to be able to operate in a lower wattage fashion for a more tolerable practice volume.
Any tidbits or tips are welcome.
