Its pretty. I always think of Samick guitars as being cheap and crappy but I borrowed one for a jazz gig a few months ago and it was actually pretty cool...especially considering the price...

Greg Bennett remade the line some years back and they've been pretty good since. they make guitars for everyone else anyway. so if its an import, there's a pretty good chance its a rebranded Samick.

It actually says "Greg Bennett Designs by Samick" on the headstock...
Not a fan of quilt tops but would love to own a semi hollow body guitar one of these days.

Depending on the price that would be a nice addition to the guitar clan. Those pickups would have to go though...

makes sense.
when i can actually play jazz, i'll get back to you. in the meantime, i'll be hacking it up on my Ric, Tele, and PRS to the chagrin of corksniffers everywhere.

I read that while he was in rehab he didn't have a guitar..hocked it for smack or something and had to borrow that Jaguar from someone for a while until he got back on his feet.
Amazing to think he was playing like that right out of rehab.... smi

yeah, that guy was a total mess.
playing a jag would definitely help things though. i mean 13s on that thing are like 9s on everything else.

I have a DVD with more songs from that show on it and he plays like that the whole time. Its pretty different from how most of his stuff sounded later on...

He doesn't have that much in the way of full group stuff, and he seems to have largely quit playing with a pick after this, too....I'll see if I can dig some stuff up later....gotta hop in the shower and go to work...
