Audacity question

I recorded on one track
Now want to record on a separate track #2
How do I listen to track one and record both at the same time with track one playing in the background?

Hi Hobo, I haven't got Audacity..but found this which should answer your question:

In summary, in "Preferences" you need to tick the box that says "Play other tracks while recording new one"

I use Audacity a lot, and mine doesn't Save as an mp3. Maybe that's what happens to yours, so just export it as a WAV file, then put it on iTunes. iTunes will do the conversion for you!

Audacity has a mind of it's own, so every time you hit the record button, it automatically generates a new audio track for that recording, and doesn't record over the previous track...
